Unlocking Innovation: Mobile Access Evolution on Campus with HID

Unlocking Innovation: Mobile Access Evolution on Campus

Join HID for an update on the evolving landscape of mobile credentials on the higher education campus. We’ll explore why mobile credentials are continuing to be a top trend in the higher ed space.

Our session will also recap the 2024 NACCU HID session, “The Voices that Matter – Students Speak on Mobile Credentials”. The input from students on mobile access technology gives a unique perspective to security and facility managers from the actual users on the ground.

The topics that will be explored with the student representatives include:

  • Digital Transformation and Innovation
  • Digital Expectations
  • Student Experience
  • Improvements in Convenience on Campus
  • Minimizing Wait Times
  • Self-Provisioning
  • Money Anxiety and Managing Digital Payments (no cash)
  • Sustainability
  • Security

John Ogle : Please submit your questions for Tim and Amy here.

Excel Mercado : What is the cost?

Giovanna Rendon Rodriguez : You mentioned that there are part numbers for each school. Is this valid regardless of the transaction and access control system. If we change providers at some point, will the readers still work?

Rachel Engler : What vending readers are compatible with HID mobile?

Sean Ryder : What is the average turnaround time for shifting to mobile credentials, start to finish? Depends on size of campus/number of readers and students of course but some rough outline?

Rachel Engler : Thanks!
